Personal Finance for High
School Students"
The eastside of Greater Cleveland locations in churches near you are pending site agreements in Orange Village and Garfield Heights. Classes begin on September 8th. All instructors have at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Each course is $130 per semester not including the cost(s) of textbooks and any fees associated with fieldtrips.
Course Descriptions:
CHEMISTRY
Students learn the major tenets of chemistry and explore the interactions and properties of matter with laboratory experiments.
COMPUTER PROGRAMMING
Key topics to programming such as loops, arrays, and subroutines (procedures) will be taught and applied to simple video games and pratical programs.
FINANCE
Topics from Dave Ramsey’s Foundations of Personal Finance for High School Students with a fieldtrip.
MATH
Basics of Algebra 1 and Algebra 2/Trigonometry are taught using the Saxon Math curriculum which embeds goeometry in the course.
MUSIC
Piano lessons and/or Music Appreciation and Music Theory.
SPANISH
Fundamentals of Spanish Level 1 supplemented with geography and culture using the ABeka curriculum. Students may utilize their new language skills in a Skype with Christian Youth for Christ members in Venezuela or a fieldtrip to a Spanish restaurant.
